MAX WOLFF

Max is a Managing Member in the New York office and leads Multivariate’s strategic consulting services. He works with companies and capital allocators to optimize revenue and return opportunities.

Prior to founding Multivariate, he was Chief Economist at Disruptive Technology Advisers, a Founding Partner at Manhattan Venture Partners, and Chief Economist at Citizen.VC. Max has made thousands of appearances and been published in leading outlets including CNBC, Bloomberg, The Financial Times, CBS Evening News, ABC News, BBC, and The Wall Street Journal.

Max did his undergraduate studies at Yale University and University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He received a BA and MA in Economics, both summa cum laude, and completed his coursework for a PhD and his AbD from The University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He teaches economics and finance at the Graduate Program in International Affairs, The New School. Max is a Board Adviser to several technology start-ups.

MAGNUS SIGURDSSON

Magnus is a Managing Member in the New York office and leads Multivariate’s data science, digital product development, and investment advisory services.

Magnus has spent his career utilizing data science to help hedge funds and institutional investors make more sophisticated and systematic investments to improve returns. Prior to founding Multivariate, he was Partner at 55 Institutional, Principal at Ada Investments, and Investment Professional at The Investment Fund for Foundations (TIFF). Magnus was an early investor in blockchain technologies, and participated in the initial funding of Ethereum. Magnus develops systematic, quantitative trading applications targeting global equities, cryptocurrencies and real estate assets.

Magnus graduated as valedictorian with a BS in Economics from The University of Iceland. He received his Master of Finance from MIT Sloan School of Management. Magnus has lived and worked in Europe, Asia, and the U.S., and speaks Icelandic, Mandarin, and English.

Titus is Multivariate’s Council. Leads Multivariate’s legal affairs including deal structuring, negotiation and execution of investment activities, M&A transactions and licensing deals.

Previously he was a general counsel of nH2 Limited, British incubator company investing in early stage nanotechnology research. Prior to nH2 he was a partner of Strasburger & Price in New York and before that of counsel at Buchanan Ingersoll providing legal advice to investment funds, family offices and ultra-high net- worth individuals on private equity and venture capital investments as well as M&A and licensing transactions, all with a strong focus on technology and life science companies.

Titus holds a law degree from Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, a LLM from Northwestern University School of Law and a BA from University of Heidelberg. He is admitted to practice law in Germany and in the State of New York. He speaks English and German.

RC is a Partner in the New York office and leads Multivariate’s product management, strategy, and start-up and partnership efforts.

He has spent his career building and growing business and most recently co- founded and was CPO of CompIQ, an enterprise compensation and compliance platform using machine learning to value people, support pay decisions, and ensure equitable pay practices. Before that he was at Level Equity, a growth equity fund, and spent time at Morgan Stanley in their technology investment banking group.

RC graduated from Dartmouth College with a BA in applied mathematics and economics and has professional certifications in Big Data and Innovation & Technology from MIT.

KUNAL SACHDEVA

Kunal is an advisor to Multivariate and he assists in advising the firm’s data science and investment advisory services.

Kunal is an Assistant Professor of Finance with the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University. His research focuses on the financial intermediation between institutional investors and households, with his dissertation studying the life settlement market. In-between graduate degrees, Kunal worked as a research analyst for a multi-billion dollar fund-of-funds managed by BlackRock.

Kunal completed a Ph.D. in finance from Columbia Business School. He received his Master of Finance from MIT Sloan School of Management, as well as B.A. and B.Sc. in Economic and Electrical Engineering, from Queen’s University (Canada).

SEAN COSTIGAN

Sean is an Advisor at Multivariate and he assists in the firm’s cybersecurity and technology consulting engagements.

Sean is Co-Founder and Director at ITL Security and a Professor at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies. He is the lead author of NATO’s cybersecurity curriculum and is widely published in national security matters relating to information security and hybrid threats. He is presently serving as a Senior Adviser to the NATO/GCSP/PfPC Emerging Security Challenges study group. He is Chair of the Editorial Board, Partnership for Peace Consortium of Defense Academies and Security Studies Institutes; Senior Associate at the Security Governance Group, an Associate at Vision Foresight Strategy, and i-Intelligence.

Sean received his Master of Arts in History of Science from Harvard University.
